Located in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains, Flippin sits between Bull Shoals Lake to the north, White River to the east, and the Buffalo National River to the south.  With all of this water, boat manufacturers abound in Flippin.  From Ranger Boats, the first in the area, to Double XX Boats, to the newest Vexus Boats, your boat of choice awaits you.  These companies, as well as other long-time manufacturing plants and our own Flippin Walmart employ thousands of residents in the area. 


Flippin, Arkansas is a lovely place to live, work, learn, play and stay for a visit!  Top of the line fishing and vacation resorts line the outskirts beyond town.

Storm Debris Cleanup - Within City Limits - Wednesday, April 17, 2024

City of Flippin residents inside city limits can dispose of tree limbs, brush, and other debris from their yards. Storm debris includes trees, branches, and loose and small debris.

Place debris on the curb away from fixtures, mailboxes, utility boxes, and overhead obstructions, DO NOT PLACE ON ROAD OR BLOCK STORM DRAINS.

DO NOT put household hazardous waste (paints, cleaners, pesticides, etc.) or construction or demolition debris.

Our City Street department will be coming around on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, starting around 7:30am for CURBSIDE PICKUP ONLY.

Please remain patient as our crews are hauling away large amounts of debris.

City of Flippin will be Conducting Regular Maintenance on the Water Tower to Ensure Clean and Safe Drinking Water starting Thursday, February 1, 2024

There will NOT be a need for a boil order.

City of Flippin Sewer Collection Project

Beginning January 23, 2024, we have started the Sewer Collection Project for the City of Flippin. This project is being conducted by Carstensen Contracting with a 600-day contract to complete.

We are excited to announce that City Hall and Water Department has moved to our new home! After many years of being housed with our Police Department and Fire Department, we have outgrown that facility - City Staff are excited for the move to 203 N 1st St effective January 2, 2024.

 

City Hall and Water Department Hours are as follows:

Monday through Friday

Lobby and Drive-thru

(you can pay water bills through our drive thru, 1st bay)

8:00 a.m. to 4:30p.m.


The Police, Fire Departments and Court Clerk will remain at 239 E Main Street.

Flippin Fire Department has smoke detectors and batteries. If you are in the Flippin Fire District and need your smoke detector or batteries replaced, please give a call to City Hall at 870-453-8300. Our fire department will come out to get those replaced.
