The City operates under a Mayor and Council which consists of four councilmen.  Various Department Heads are charged with the general operation of the City and are directly accountable to the Mayor and Council for the operation of the departments.  Together with the Police Department and Fire Department, what a great team we have here at Flippin!

Mayor Heith Hogan


The City of Flippin announces the inauguration of its new mayor, Heith Hogan as of January 1, 2023.


“My desire is to see the City of Flippin prosper with new businesses and to promote a safe and secure environment for its people who want to locate and raise their families, or to retire and enjoy the amenities our town has.”


Mayor Hogan’s vision is to promote the City of Flippin and to support local businesses to flourish, promote tourism, and recruit new businesses to the city.


Mayor Hogan has been more than a 20-year resident of Flippin and involved in many community and civic organizations, including more than 15 years as a City Council member.

Mayor Hogan holds an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from ASU-Mountain Home.

City Hall and Water Department Hours are as follows:

Monday - Friday  8:00 a.m. to 4:30p.m.

City Court Clerk and Water Clerk issue permits for the city, maintain records, and handle the water/sewer/trash billings.


The City Recorder is the official recorder of Council proceedings. 


The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of the city streets, city water and sewer functions, and the Waste Water Treatment Plant.


Our Parks Department maintains the City Park - Hickey Park - maintaining the park and it's facilities, coordinating event logistics for community, as well as funds and grant acquisition.

The Flippin Volunteer Fire Department has been serving the Flippin Area since 1957.  The Department works closely with other volunteer fire departments in Marion County.
